The silver jardiniere, a handmade unique piece, shows the typical decorations of historicism in its heyday. Symmetrical running fluting, magnificent historical decorative elements and classic decorative shapes. The feet of the stand are designed as a breakthrough work, just beautiful. The bowl has a wonderful patina, the interior gilding is rubbed according to age. A truly unique piece with history! The last picture shows the bust of Horst Wessels.

The company Gustav Alsen
Cement factory was founded in 1862 in Itzehoe. The jardiniere comes from the estate of the company. It was a commissioned work, which was executed by the renowned silverware manufacturer Wilkens. More precisely, the jardiniere was a gift to the then managing director Heinirch Wessel for the steady Unnehmenserfolg. Today there is an industrial museum in Itzehoe.
