A cream pitcher on a round stand with a classic ear handle with grooves, made bulbous and twelve-pass, with a wide curved spout. Without master’s mark and fineness indication. The jug was restored by our master silversmith, there were small pressure marks.

Information about this rare master mark
This diamond mark was introduced with Napoleon in some parts of West Germany and continued by some workshops after the French left.
In this case it is probably the city of Cologne, where there was a Christian August Joseph Bruchmann (Scheffler, Rheinland-Westfalen Nr.1933 with MZ). Born on 06.03.1802 as son of a Cologne merchant, married I as 29. year old gold worker on 30.7.1830 Maria Catharina Strang, married II on 5.11.1834 Helena Philippa Pielsticker, died as jeweler before 17.11.1866 in Düsseldorf.
