A centerpiece consisting of a large twelve-pass silver pot for coffee or even tea, a cream pot and a rectangular twenty-pass sugar box with fire gilding. The jugs have classic ear handles, a fitting curved round stand and imperial apples as lid lifters. In ancient symbolism, these stand for fertility, life, blood, death and power.
The four-foot sugar box has its original lock with mechanism, which of course was not made of silver and is no longer lockable due to age.
Customer wishes are different regarding this locking function, therefore we offer an additional restoration of the mechanism with key according to the old pattern as an alternative position. We think and hope to meet every demand in this way. Of course, this centerpiece was extensively refurbished by our master silversmith:

Information about this rare master mark
This diamond mark was introduced with Napoleon in some parts of West Germany and continued by some workshops after the French left.
In this case it is probably the city of Cologne, where there was a Christian August Joseph Bruchmann (Scheffler, Rheinland-Westfalen Nr.1933 with MZ). Born on 06.03.1802 as son of a Cologne merchant, married I as 29. year old gold worker on 30.7.1830 Maria Catharina Strang, married II on 5.11.1834 Helena Philippa Pielsticker, died as jeweler before 17.11.1866 in DĆ¼sseldorf.
