Imposing large coffee pot worked in brocken style from the silverware factory Hermann Behrnd from Dresden, ex. Court jeweler, est. 1870 – the so-called Dresden court pattern. The pot has a fabulous drapery, gorgeous volute feet and a fine side hinged lid with matching lid knob. This pattern was also made with wooden handle, but our specimen has a silver rocaille handle, the insulating rings are impeccable.

Around 1870, the manual production of silver tableware in the style of “Dresden court pattern” was introduced in the capital of Saxony, in Dresden. The silverware factories included the former court jewelry workshop H. Behrnd, later Dresdner Silberwarenfabrik. The silversmiths of Dresden created a magnificent ensemble of silver tableware for the Saxon royal court.
