Very large five-arm baroque candelabra with removable arm attachment. The grommets are attached by means of a screw thread and are therefore removable. The curved chandelier arms have entwined foliage. A very nice imposing exhibit with authentic patina, with no master’s mark to be found.

Adam Manns, born in 1874, was trained as a silversmith at the drawing academy in Hanau. He then worked in Hanau in his profession. After the First World War, he is said to have been in Paris with his boss at the time, where he drew inspiration for his own silver products. When visiting stores, the boss had engaged salespeople in conversation, while Adam more or less secretly made drawings of goods. Among other things, he used these to make his own models in the evenings in the apartment at Kennedystrasse 10 as patterns for casting molds. In 1922, the company founded its own silversmith shop. In the backyard of the residential building at KennedystraĆe 12 in Dƶrnigheim, a two-story building running in a north-south direction was erected and still stands today. Production then took place on both the first floor and the second floor. Staff photos from 1935 and 1938 show 10 to 20 employees.
