Great centerpiece as a coffee service, solid and heavy handmade from the manufactory Gebrüder Friedländer, former. Court supplier to the German emperor. The rims of the vessel are decorated with magnificent ornamental forms with acanthus foliage, which extend to the center of the rim. All decorations, whether handles, lugs and bodies are worked in a classic symmetrical manner. The finish is formed by stable ball feet on the undersides.

Jewelers Bros. Friedländer
The origin was the foundation of the company Saling and Friedländer on March 30, 1829, which took its seat in the house at Schloßplatz 13. The first generation of the company was represented by the co-owner Zadig Levin Friedländer, (1801-1861).
While the other co-owner Louis Saling left in 1832 to run a bill of exchange and commission business at Burgstrasse 10, Friedländer remained sole proprietor at Schloßplatz 13 to continue devoting himself to the jewelry and silverware business.
Two sons took over the management of the business as the second generation. However, their professional paths diverged a bit. Leopold Friedländer kept the bank under the firm Friedländer and Co. His younger brother Siegmund Friedländer decided to go into the jewelry business under the firm Gebr. Friedländer, with brothers Theodor Friedländer as partners.
On March 30, 1879, the 50th anniversary of the company Gebr.Friedländer was celebrated. The “Berliner Tageblatt” reported extensively on the event. In 1881, the owners Kommerzienrat Siegmund Friedländer and Theodor Friedländer were joined as a third partner by the previous authorized signatory Jacob Herz.
Court jewelers became the company Gebr.Friedländer at the time of the reign of Wilhelm I for the Empress and Queen, the Crown Prince and Princess Luise of Prussia in 1894.
